FAQs about the Connected Hope Experience

  • Email hello@michigan-emdr.com to book an intake session to determine if this approach is the one that could help you the most.

  • Why EMDR? Attachment Focused model, S.A.F.E. EMDR, and she works collaboratively with clients to set attainable goals to increase feelings of peace and relief.

  • Meta-research shows that animal assisted interventions reduce symptoms of PTSD and depression for children and adults. Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) is multimodal and works in various directions simultaneously utilizing, for example, experiential learning, mirroring and collaborative problem-solving techniques.

  • Clients can enjoy the unique benefits of EFP but still have easily accessible therapy, since EMDR is available by telehealth and more affordable. Because the two modalities approach trauma using different healing strategies, we find that clients experience more comprehensive opportunities for relief and progress. Since our providers have extensive training in both, they utilize the modalities in ways that build on each other.

  • The Connected Hope Experience is a package that our practice has put together to help make research-based therapy accessible more quickly to the community and help people get off waiting lists.

Intensive models like Connected Hope and everything that’s covered in it aren’t traditionally covered by insurance. We are happy to give you a superbill so you can seek partial reimbursement.

The package includes 4 therapy sessions (EMDR and equine facilitated therapy), a workbook and a “where do I go from here?” plan to help apply your new healing into your daily life. Typical pricing is $1,240 but can be reduced to $899 if client completes an intake session prior to beginning Connected Hope.
