Feeling disconnected?

Here’s your chance to change that. We use research-proven therapy approaches like EMDR, CBT, EFP, Action Therapy, Mindfulness Counseling and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients experience significant healing in a short period of time.

It’s time for things to be different…Telehealth is a space just for you.

“I attended an anxiety and stress reduction class your therapist taught 5 years ago and still carry in my purse her list of simple tips. They have changed my life!”

Our Approach to Therapy

Our lead therapist, Jill Rainwater, LPC, has a warm, trustworthy and conversational style, mixed with a sense of humor to keep the endorphins firing even as she and clients do very hard work together. Jill also provides training and consulting to therapists across the state, so she can connect you to great resources both in our practice and outside of it.

Jill uses an intensive-style therapy approach which basically means it is entirely customized to you. Want to move through change and toward healing faster? We can schedule 3-4 sessions in one weekend. Want to have time in between sessions to work on goals and action steps? Weekly virtual therapy might be the best fit for you. Want to connect with art or movement or a therapy animal as a part of the healing process? Her mix of CBT and experiential learning could be just what you need.

Jill helps clients stay very goal-oriented during our work, and if at any point she believes another therapist with a different approach could help you more quickly or more completely, she will let you know that and can help facilitate a smooth transition so that your progress expands. It’s important to our practice that your time is never wasted and that you have the opportunity to achieve the most healing in the shortest window, and we would love to be a part of your journey as you do just that.

We asked Jill, how is therapy with her different?

In 2004, when I was a brand new clinician, a more seasoned therapist told me “regardless of what some may say, there is no replacement for years of experience.”

I’ve seen that play out over the years in various ways. Years of experience professionally for me has meant training in EMDR and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, making me both more effective and more efficient for my clients.

Years of experience personally has meant weathering my own storms - of chronic illness, caregiving and workplace transition - and experiencing firsthand what I think makes the best therapy possible to help people navigate life challenges.

I’m committed to best practices which has included completing the testing and ongoing continuing education to become certified and maintain certification with the National Board of Certified Counselors (which is optional in the United States), and taking and teaching ongoing Anti-Racism workshops.

I also enjoy working with leaders and find that my experience sets me up well to support their unique needs. I recently completed four years of coaching in Jo Saxton’s Global Leadership Program where I grew tremendously and learned all kinds of strategies and skills to help my clients in leadership roles and trying to overcome perfectionism.

As you identify your highest needs and most important goals, I look forward to speaking with you to see if my experience is the right fit for your best success.

  • It all begins with hoping for change. Maybe you want to experience relief from anxiety. Maybe you want to launch a new career. Maybe you want to parent better or have deeper friendships. EMDR can help you work through stuck places to make room for the change you’ve been wanting.

  • All types of clients experience a sense of belonging here. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, veteran's status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to inclusion, anti-racism, LGBTQIA+ advocacy and anti-ableism and our treatments and case conceptualizations reflect those commitments.

  • Intensive Therapy, the approach we offer, is not an appropriate form of therapy for clients who have been recently hospitalized, or are experiencing self harm, sucidial thoughts or misusing substances. There are, however, amazing therapists throughout our state who work with all of those issues and we would be happy to help connect you with them if you ask.
